This is a lovely cover. :)

Dr. Dre - Kush ft. Snoop Dogg, Akon (Video)

This video is pretty rad. In fact, tighter than the pants on Will.i.am.

Considering this song was leaked and I'm sure this video was done pretty quickly to keep up with the pace, it's very well done. Not a fan of the subject matter, but that's besides the point.

Core Performance: Day 1

I just got warmed up with my first Core Performance workout yesterday in Mountain View. It's cool seeing lots of metrics. I can't wait for more challenging days ahead. So far, It's good! I'm glad I have lots of buddies doing it too.

This made my week, if not year

I was totally caught off guard when I received a mystery package at work.

It was from my Canadian Wife, Michelle. :)

She baked and sent me cookies along with a card overnight from Toronto! I'm like in awe. It's one of the sweetest things anyone has ever done for me.

Slick Banana (Video)

This is who I get to work with on a daily basis. :P Grant may or may not be tipsy while trying to consume a banana (a big ass one at that!) within 15 seconds after losing a card game with his cousins.

Introducing Google eBooks (Video)

I'm excited for the eBooks launch (formerly called "Editions"). My friend Brittany, with whom we we bonded for several months in Ann Arbor, MI while we worked in the AdWords dept, worked hard on this launch. Bravo! :D

Choice is a good thing!

Dinner at Woodhouse Fish Co.

I went out to dinner with Joey in Pac Heights at Woodhouse Fish Co. (which I've seen strolling in the 'Stro and on Check Please! Bay Area)  on Saturday night. We ended up there because Fresca had a 40 minute wait. Le Sigh. I was in the mood for Peruvian and Joey never had Peruvian cuisine before.

Woodhouse is super laid back with a friendly atmosphere. I would say it's on the pricier side for what it is, but it's good quality. I wasn't blown away, but I would go back and try other things. Apparently, the Castro location is a bit cheaper.

Ordered:

- Beer: Their IPA (Me), Amstel Light (Joey)

- Appetizer: Onion Rings

- Soup: Clam Chowder (Joey)

- Entree: Fish Tacos (Joey); Buttered Dungeness Crab Roll (Me)

- Dessert: None, because we were stuffed, but we wanted the Sourdough Bread Pudding

Bonus:

- Battlescar stamp photo from a night out on the town. It had been a while since I've been out in the 'Stro.

Kylie Minogue, "Better Than Today" (Video)

Ha! This is a cool video theme. Lovin' the Pacmen. ;)

I remember when she performed this song when she had her first stateside concert in Oakland back in '09. I'll have to dig up that video...

Lots of Laughter With Lauren

I had a lovely Thursday working from Mountain View. It's nice working from that campus every so often because I get to see a lot of people who I used to work with on a daily basis but don't get to see often anymore.

Well, I happened to run into Lauren in CL2. Boy did we get to catch up. It's hilarious. Every time I'm with her I can't help but smile and laugh... a lot.

We chatted a bit about recent travels. She spent some time in Europe recently and we started to talk about Germany. She was like "Will... Have you heard of this place called 'Berghain'?" My mouth dropped. I didn't think many people knew about that club. I also didn't know getting in was such a big deal. Looking back, it now makes a lot more sense.

We got to swap stories and Lauren's were hilarious. We're gonna hang out next week to catch up even more because I'm sure we coulda talked for hours and hours.

On Friday, she emailed me the best picture ever. Let's just say she knows how to work it and she should be very proud. ;)

Visiting Mike at LinkedIn

My buddy Mike recently made the move to startup-ville and began working at LinkedIn in Mountain View.

It's kinda funny because he gets to milk to perks of Google and LinkedIn because all of his friends are like a 3 minute walk on the Crittenden Campus but gets to be able to focus at work because he still doesn't really know anyone at LinkedIn.

The atmosphere is like how I remember Google about 5 years ago. Lots of catered food, bomb micro-kitchens and the overall small feeling. It was pretty cool.

Mike kept on going on about how everyone was excited about their Coke "Freestyle" machine. As he said, "It's cute how people get excited about the small things."

Papalote's Famous Salsas Hit Store Shelves Tomorrow

My Mexican Side that used to frequent this Mexican Burrito joint in the Mission (When I Lived Close) is very very excited that you can buy their Salsa (of which I'm sure laced with crack) at Whole Foods and other local markets! Thanks for the Tip 7x7!
