It was a film I could connect to, even If I've never been through a similar experience. The stories of the main characters were very interesting. It really makes you reflect upon your own life and wonder are you living up to your potential. </p><p>ABOUT THE FILM: </p><p>n 2002, the United States began deporting former Cambodian refugees with criminal offenses, even those who had arrived as children or infants following the Cambodian genocide. RESIDENT ALIEN follows three such “returnees” as they adapt to an unfamiliar homeland after nearly a lifetime spent in the States; largely shunned by Cambodian society, with few skills and little money, they now must find a way to survive, or end up on the streets. </p><p>China vacillates between accepting that she’ll spend the rest of her life in Cambodia and shock that she’ll never again set foot in the United States. Her boyfriend Looney admits that he’s unhappy in their relationship, but is also completely dependent on her financially. The heart of the film, however, is KK, a breakdancer from Long Beach who struggles to show his family back home that he has changed for the better. It's nice working from that campus every so often because I get to see a lot of people who I used to work with on a daily basis but don't get to see often anymore.</p> <p>Well, I happened to run into Lauren in CL2. Boy did we get to catch up. It's hilarious. Every time I'm with her I can't help but smile and laugh... a lot.</p> <p>We chatted a bit about recent travels. She spent some time in Europe recently and we started to talk about Germany. She was like "Will... Have you heard of this place called '<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berghain">Berghain</a>'?" My mouth dropped. I didn't think many people knew about that club. I also didn't know getting in was such a big deal. Looking back, it now makes a lot more sense.</p> <p>We got to swap stories and Lauren's were hilarious. We're gonna hang out next week to catch up even more because I'm sure we coulda talked for hours and hours.</p> <p>On Friday, she emailed me the best picture ever. Lots of catered food, bomb micro-kitchens and the overall small feeling. It was pretty cool.</p> <p>Mike kept on going on about how everyone was excited about their <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9V-yphI7JPk">Coke "Freestyle" machine</a>. I ran to Safeway off 19th/Taraval to grab a couple of items I didn't have to create this imagined dish I had in my head.</p> <p>I had some left over Turkey Breast from last week and I felt like Mexican. Why not whip up something delicious? A Turkey Breast Enchilada Casserole is what came to mind.</p> <p>I took a mixture of Tomatillo/Avocado Salsa and Onion and marinated the leftover Turkey Breast. I had some canned Enchilada Sauce along with bought low-fat mexican cheese and corn tortillas.</p> <p>I layered the casserole similar to how one would make a lasagna.</p> <p>Layers: Enchilada Sauce to coat the dish so the tortillas don't stick, (1) Corn Tortillas, Turkey Mixture, a light amount of cheese, Enchilada Sauce and (2)&nbsp;(1) Corn Tortillas, Turkey Mixture, a light amount of cheese, Enchilada Sauce.</p> <p>I baked for about 30 minutes at 375 degrees. Particularly, the Fiat 500 (Pearl White to be exact.) I mean, living in SF, parking is a hard to come by. I think the Fiat 500 would be a perfect car for San Francisco. I love the Italian aesthetics and bubbly design.</p> <p>Fiat finally revealed the US model at the LA Auto show today. I'm seriously considering this car as a replacement for my nearly 10 year old Honda Civic. Dave and I took a few photos since he worked on putting the whole thing together. These are the unedited versions of our photobooth photos. Even though we have completely different schedules, we take the time to spend some QT with each other. We usually have nightly discussions in our kitchen -- the day's news, topics in our lives, random moments. But having a meal, that's just special.</p> <p>Prior to going to <a href="http://www.dosasf.com/df_index.html">DOSA on Fillmore</a>&nbsp;(with a dessert pit stop at <a href="http://fraicheyogurt.com/">Fraiche Yogurt</a>) a couple of weeks back, We've been to <a href="http://www.yelp.com/biz/bistro-9-san-francisco">Bistro 9</a>, <a href="http://www.yelp.com/biz/saiwaii-ramen-san-francisco-3">Saiwaii Ramen</a> and <a href="http://socialbrewsf.com/">Social Kitchen and Brewery</a> --- all in the Sunset (Minus, DOSA, that is)! We've also taken a few trips to local places like <a href="http://www.yelp.com/biz/schweet-boks-cereal-eatery-and-cafe-san-francisco">Schweet Boks</a> (hello, cute owner/barista --- Dexter!) and cooked a few meals together.</p> <p>How did we end up at DOSA? When dining out at Bistro 9, Danny and Greg originally wanted to go to an Indian Curry place. I vetoed as I'm not a huge fan of Indian Food. However, we agreed as a group that our next meal would be Indian and somewhat boughie. Thus, DOSA.</p> <p>The flavors were powerful, the presentation was artful and the atmosphere was airy. I'd definitely go back.</p> <p>You know what's funny? Indian food and Mexican food have very similar ingredients and flavors. class='posterous_autopost'><p>So, I was tipped by a twitter post from Bao that one of my favorite set of chicken wings made a quiet entrance in the Bay Area. What you may ask? The Korean "<a href="http://www.bonchon.com/">Bon Chon</a>."</p> <p>During one of my recent visits to New York Citay, my buddy Joe insisted we go to Bon Chon in NYC's K-town. That was a lovely decision.</p> <p>It's a simple menu, really. A couple of flavors. A couple of types of chicken parts to choose from (wings v. drums v. boneless). Voila. You have magical Korean Fried Chicken. Hooters got nothing on this. Down a beer, and you're good to go.</p> <p>I think the good thing is that it's crispy but not fatty. It's a really really nice way to eat chicken. I approve.</p> <p>So what's the deal?
